Them Crooked Vultures To Support Arctic Monkeys At Brixton Tonight?

August 26, 2009 by

It’s strongly rumoured that Rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures are supporting Arctic Monkeys at their one-off album launch show at Brixton Academy tonight.

The Monkeys’ support act has been billed as ‘very special guests’, but rumours are circulating that Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Foo Fighter Dave Grohl and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones will be opening at around 7.30pm.

Them Crooked Vultures are already in Europe and have performed surprise festival shows at Lowlands in Holland and Pukkelpop in Belgium over the past week.

Josh Homme produced the vast majority of Arctic Monkeys’ new album ‘Humbug’ and is close friends with the band.

There is also growing speculation on forums that Them Crooked Vultures will be playing secret slots at the Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend.
