Pete Doherty has been arrested in Gloucester in the early hours of this morning (June 11).

The former Libertine was taken into custody by police after he was seen driving erratically around the city. He was stopped roughly 30 minutes after finishing a solo performance at the Guildhall venue.

A spokesman said for Gloucester police told the Wilts And Gloucestershire Standard that drugs were also found in the possession of the 30-year-old man who was arrested.

“At approximately 12.30am officers on patrol in Eastgate Street saw a car being driven erratically, it continued down Barton Street and was stopped in Derby Road,” the spokesperson said. “A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, possession of drugs and failure to stop for police, he remains in custody at this time.”
