M.I.A. Names Her New Album / \ /\ / \ Y / \

M.I.A. has been busy over the last couple of days, firstly handing over a song to Radio 1 called ‘XXXO’ and now she has confirmed the name of her forthcoming album.
Earlier M.I.A. asked fans to name it, but we presume only she could come with the name /\/\/\Y/\, which looks like MAYA spelt with slashes.
The name appears on a new stomch churning blog of her record label neetrecordings.com/blog/ where details of the album are displayed with a new release date July 13.
Also on there is the aforementioned ‘XXXO’. With all these marketing shenanigans let’s just hope the album lives up to the hype when it drops.
