Beggars Re-Releasing The Charlatans Debut ‘Some Friendly’

To coincide with The Charlatans special 20th anniversary performances of their debut album, Some Friendly, at the Primavera Festival and London’s Roundhouse, Beggars Archive have announced they are releasing an Expanded Edition on 17th of May.

Some Friendly originally topped the album charts in 1990 at the height of the ‘Madchester’ scene, which saw similar bands The Stone Roses and Happy Mondays find their fame.

The new edition includes a re-mastered album (with the original vinyl sequencing) and a second CD of associated singles and complete BBC sessions from John Peel and Mark Goodier’s respective shows.
