Depeche Mode Postpone London 02 Arena Gig

Depeche Mode have had to postpone their London 02 arean gig, but are to re-start their interrupted Tour Of The Universe in Leipzig on June 8, after singer Dave Gahan recovers from an operation to remove a tumour from his bladder.

The singer was hospitalised on May 12 following a severe bout of gastroenteritis that forced the group to cancel their concert in Athens that night.

While in hospital, further medical tests revealed a low-grade malignant tumour in Gahan?s bladder, which has since been successfully removed.

As a result, the band have cancelled dates including London O2, the Pinkpop Festival and the HSH Nordbank Arena in Hamburg.

Gahan is under doctor?s orders to rest until June 8, meaning the Leipzig show on the same date will be the first following his recovery.
