Arctic Monkeys To Release Second Single Through Oxfam
November 9, 2009 by Liam C
Following the sale of around 10,000 copies of ?Crying Lightning 7? with Oxfam, Arctic Monkeys are continuing the collaboration with the exclusive release of new single ?Cornerstone?.
The release, in the form of a limited edition 10?, will be available at Oxfam?s top 50 stores, and features new track ?Catapult?, as well as B-sides ?Sketchhead? and ?Fright Lined Dining Room?.
Also being included in the ?4.99 asking price is a code allowing free download of MP3 versions of the songs, as well as pairs of ?Golden Tickets? to the band?s sold-out UK tour.
Laurence Bell, founder of Domino, said of the scheme:
“Our co-operation with Oxfam around the ‘Crying Lightning’ single was a great success for all parties and did plenty of good. We are extending the partnership for the release of ‘Cornerstone’, which will hopefully drive many more punters to both shop in and donate to Oxfam stores.?
